Desktop Support Technician - Tier 1 ›› details
Full time position; IT Operations Team
The Christian and Missionary Alliance is seeking a talented Desktop Support Technician to provide excellent customer service for the National Office IT Helpdesk. This person will have previous computer support experience in a Microsoft Windows network. This person will also possess good verbal and written communication skills and must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced IT support environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years higher education; bachelor degree and IT certifications are preferred.
Requirements
• Outstanding IT Helpdesk customer service skills
• Outgoing and friendly personality
• Strong over the phone communications skills
• Strong time management and organization skills
• Ability to work as a part of a team – team player
• Experience working in a Windows Active Directory network environment supporting Windows XP and Apple OS X workstations
• Knowledge in support of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Strong varied software knowledge and PC hardware knowledge
• Ability to perform Windows based software and OS installations
• Experience researching and troubleshooting hardware and software problems towards successful resolution
• Basic network connectivity troubleshooting in a TCP/IP Ethernet networking environment

Full time position; Communications Department
Requirements
• Training/degree at a school/college for graphic design and a strong print design portfolio demonstrating professional-level work.
• Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design and computer techniques, print and pre-press production processes in a Macintosh environment.
• Design proficiency using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerpPoint and Excel.
• Ability to conceptualize and create original publications, promotional art, and visual presentations consistent with nature, scope and purpose of project while analyzing such factors as subject matter, intended audience, usage, distribution, and required brand standards/specifications.
• Ability to prepare and optimize files for use on C&MA website, video and multimedia productions/presentations.
• Assist in photo shoots and conceptualize artistic compositions.
• Ability to solicit print bid proposals, evaluate bids received, and determine appropriate vendor for specific projects based on vendor/job parameters.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Process and track all workers compensation claims.
- Provide assistance to employees and management regarding employment policies and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
- A basic knowledge of Federal and State employment law and human resources practices.
- Bachelors degree in business administration or human resources management.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication, organization, and problem solving skills as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and to prioritize projects.
- A PHR or SPHR certification is highly desired.
- Must be a professing Christian and be willing to accept Alliance Redwoods statement of faith.
